The camshaft bearing bushes are located in the bearings and in the cylinder head. In principle, we speak of plain bearings / bearing bushes. They are semicircular and in each case contain holes for the transmission of lubricating oil and securing lugs against rotation. The material of these bearings is similar to that of crankshaft bearings, with a relatively soft wear layer sliding on the oil film formed by the oil pressure during operation.
